Gosh no - don't do that! I've seen a bunch of tutorials on how to use those lights and use baking paper in front of them as a diffuser. But these lights get incredibly hot. So it's only a question of time when the first person in your studio accidentally burns themselves. You don't want that.
If you really want to go for this option then buy the ones that directly come with a stand. But make sure that the power cables you use are always way longer than necessary. Always lay a sling of 4 feet of cable right underneath the work light. And do the same in front of the power socket that you plug the cable into. This way, when someone stumbles over your cable they do not directly cause the lamp to fall into their direction. But really, those lamps are not much more affordable than a safe, manual speedlight like the ones from Yongnuo
