I have trouble to take a shot with compositon. Can you explain to me how?
Sure, you will be a master at it within a few hours. It’s easy. I’d love to know what sort of photographs you are taking. But let’s assume you take beauty pictures like myself.
For the moment please focus on the major composition guideline: The rule of thirds.
The famous rule of thirds suggests that you, the photographer, divide your photo into nine rectangular blocks. Then place your subject at any of the four points where the lines cross. Voila, it creates a story out of your picture. Try it out! You may be wondering why on earth a composition broken into 3 equal parts would appear more visually appealing than any other random spattering in a composition. It helps because you are looking subjects in the same way Mother Nature looks at them – on earth. It is mathematical brilliance and natural beauty working together at their level best. Make use of it! Often you can add a great deal of dramatic interest to your subject by placing it any of this four points.
Now look through your viewfinder and estimate where the four points are onto which you should place the most important parts of your photos – for instance the foreground eye of your portait subject. The autofocus points will help you to remember where those points are. For the next couple of photos please focus on the rule of thirds - and on nothing else. Once you got used to it, you will apply that rule automatically. You don't have to think about it anymore.
Thanks to Alnor for the question.
